The Power of Apprenticeships

In 2022 we decided to take on a 'Digital Content Apprentice' via Apprentify (The Juice Academy) to help support the Naimuri marketing team.

We knew we wanted someone with the passion for creating engaging video content, understanding of social media platforms, a creative flair and an eye for a good picture.

We attended the first cohort, but sadly didn't get a match (our first choice decided to select another company!), but the second time round we met kofi landon.

I was instantly blown away by his passion for digital content and the impressive videos he had created and pictures he had taken through his love of travelling the world.

He'd done his research into the business and yet despite being slightly nervous, I could see his potential and what he'd bring to Naimuri.

Last night he sent me a message to say he'd passed his Apprenticeship with a distinction (the first Digital Content Apprentice to get a distinction) and I was over the moon!!!

It has been an amazing 15 months watching kofi landon grow in confidence and create fantastic content for Naimuri, which has had a huge impact on the business as a whole.

If you're considering getting an apprentice, then I would wholeheartedly say go for it. I am a big believer in apprenticeships and over the years appointed a number of fantastic people across businesses, who have gone on to amazing careers.

If you have the right support network to help nurture them and build their confidence, then the benefits they'll bring to your business will be huge.

kofi landon is shortly off on a sabbatical to travel more of the world and we hugely miss him, but we wish him all the best on the next exciting chapter of his career. Shoot for the stars!
