Day in the Life

How did you find the recruitment process?

Really good from start to finish.  I was interviewed by people that were experienced in the role that I was applying for - which made the conversation flow easily between us.  Understanding the mission impact value that I could add as a BA at Naimuri, really excited me.
I also valued the opportunity to get an insight into the warmth of the people that work at Naimuri.
From the interview to starting at Naimuri, I had a really positive experience.

Briefly describe what you do day-to-day?

I work collaboratively with stakeholders and the Naimuri team to develop solutions that deliver value to our customers. From gaining an understanding why something is needed, eliciting requirements, to gaining a shared understanding of as-is and to-be, processes and impact analysis allows me to apply core BA tools and techniques.

Working with our talented teams to typically deliver beyond customer expectations to make the UK a safer place and have fun along the way is really special.

What interested you about a career in technology?

I love to learn and solve problems.  Technology is ever evolving, no two days are the same.  Technology allows me to constantly grow and challenge myself and work with really inspiring people and technology solutions.‍

What areas of technology are you most passionate about?

Keeping the people and users centric is key for me.  Understanding why something is needed and playing a part in developing solutions that have a positive impact on our users.  Understanding our customer and users to work with them so the change experience is a smooth one.

What are the top five skills you need to do your job?

Communication, adaptability, organisation, an open mind and a sense of humour!

‍What is the career progression like?

Positively encouraged and supported - not only do we have an established progression framework, additionally, everyone is allocated a Naimuri Mentor, who supports your professional and personal development as well as your wellbeing.

What’s the best thing about working at Naimuri?

Our people 100% - they are at the centre of everything - we support each other, we do great work and we have fun along the way!

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in technology?

You don't have to be technical, there's space for everyone, so much opportunity to learn and grow and it's really rewarding.‍

Do you think there is enough education at school about careers in technology?
I feel it's improving but still not enough. Namuri attends career fairs at local schools to highlight the right and diverse industry and all the benefits it has to offer.  I'm also a strong advocate of women in tech too.

What would you say to someone who is considering applying to work at Naimuri?
Do it! Speak to someone, come and meet us. You won't regret it :)
