We wish everyone getting their GCSE results today, the best of luck.

If you're considering a career in technology, there are lots of paths into the sector (not all needing a degree) and a variety of roles in the industry.

We asked some of the Naimuri team, what advice would they give to anyone considering a career in tech and their answers are below.

"Tech allows you the freedom to grow in your career, whether that is technical or non- technical roles"
- Shahzad, Business Analyst.

"Honestly, I kind of just fell into the industry without realising. I always enjoyed maths and problem solving, so I studied maths and data science at uni, then when I heard about Naimuri and their mission I thought it would be a really good fit for me" - Alex, Software Engineer.

"Look at bootcamps. They'll save you a lot of money compared to a degree, are a lot faster, and allow you to jump right in. Tech covers such a wide variety of areas, there is something for everyone, so it's worth experimenting. Don't be put off if you try something and don't like it, try something else"
- Kay, Software Engineer.

"You should not feel like you cannot work in tech without tech qualifications. It is a very wide ranging industry with opportunities for people with many different skill sets outside of technical knowledge, and with the advances in artificial intelligence a lot of people who will enter the tech industry over the next decade will likely have an education focused more on humanities and art".
- Jack, Platform Engineer.

"Get industrial experience when you are studying"
, Kit, IT Consultant.

"If it interests you then put in the effort and commit to it. If you work hard and learn things you can have a very good, and long, career in tech. There are so many options once you have your foot in the door you should never get bored"
- Gareth, Scrum Master/Team Manager.

"It is never too late to start a career in tech. Get yourself a foundational certification from one of the three major cloud providers, and you will have a fantastic platform to move forward into a career in tech"
. - Phillip, Platforms Engineer.

"Go for it! The range of roles in tech means that there will be something out there for everyone"
- Faith, Automation Tester.

"Keep your eye on the ball, things change rapidly in this space and if you're not watching carefully, you can find yourself missing out on the progress that's being made"
- James, Senior Frontend Engineer
