A day in the life of a Naimuri Data Scientist....

What attracted you to come and work at Naimuri?
Mission.

How did you find the recruitment process?
Relaxed and friendly. I felt like the recruiting team were looking for the right person, not just skills.

Briefly describe what you do day-to-day?
At the moment mostly training in data science skills such as deep learning.

What interested you in a career in technology?
I wanted a job where I get to do maths and coding. It's what I enjoy!

What areas of technology are you most passionate about?
Machine Learning, Deep Learning and data science in general.

What are the top skills you need to do your role?

• Experience with coding

• Confidence to learn on the job

• Comfortable working in a team

• Explaining complicated things well

• A decent amount of mathematics!

What makes Naimuri different from other technology companies?
Probably the sector we work in. It's great to know what we do makes a positive difference.

What are your career aspirations?
I'm unsure to be honest. But I enjoy what I do and would like to continue learning and developing my data science skills.

What would you say to anyone considering a career in tech?
It's often misunderstood that you need to have specific skills (like coding) to work in tech. This isn't true. For a tech company to be successful, they need a diverse bunch of people, with a wide range of skills.
