A day in the life of a Naimuri Automation Tester.....

Faith is an Automation Tester here at Naimuri and has been with the Naimuri team for over one year.

Briefly describe what you do day-to-day?
I work as a software tester on the infrastructure/platforms team.
I write automated tests for the latest deployments so we can monitor them as we continue to add new features.

What interested you about a career in technology?
I fell into tech when I worked as a helpdesk agent for the NHS.
I wanted to get involved in fixing the issues that the users reported, and ended up getting involved in testing the systems before they were released.

What areas of technology are you most passionate about?
I'm most interested in the networking and infrastructure side of software development.
I've also recently got into cyber security, and I am studying part-time to see which areas of cyber security I enjoy the most to maybe move into, in the future.

What are the top five skills you need to do your role?
Patience
Communication
Problem solving
Coding skills
Attention to detail.

What is the best thing about working for Naimuri?
The flexibility and ability to work on a range of different projects.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in technology?
Go for it! The range of roles in tech mean that there will be something out there for everyone.
